About Green Cocoon
Green Cocoon is a limited company focused on driving green growth and transformation in Wales. We exist to help you transition towards a more circular, sustainable way of working — turning overlooked waste and innovative ideas into practical projects with real local and global benefit.
At Green Cocoon, we believe good ideas grow best when people work together. We connect people, knowledge and resources to unlock opportunities, test what’s possible and create solutions that last.
What we do
Feasibility & Pilot Scoping
We shape early-stage ideas into clear, testable plans — so you know what’s possible, what it costs, and who needs to be involved.
Cross-Sector Partnerships
We build bridges between industry, researchers, specialists and local communities — bringing the right people together to unlock opportunities and make things happen.
Project Management & Delivery
We guide projects from concept to pilot stage, keeping things moving, reporting clearly, and creating pathways for scale.
Knowledge Sharing & Exchange
We connect Wales with global innovation — sharing what works, learning from others and adapting ideas for local benefit.
Whether you’re sitting on an untapped waste stream, an emerging idea, or just a feeling there must be a better, more sustainable way, we can help you shape it into something real.
How we can help
We work flexibly depending on what you need — from shaping early-stage ideas and testing pilots, to building cross-sector partnerships and managing practical delivery.
Every project is different, so we tailor our involvement to what works best for you and the people you serve.

Who we are
Gráinne Connolly - Founder and Managing Director
Gráinne founded Green Cocoon to help drive green growth and circular economy in Wales.
She cares deeply about creating a fairer, more sustainable future and loves turning ideas into action. She’s motivated by the belief that even the biggest challenges can be tackled when people work together to make good things happen.
Gráinne’s background blends practical project delivery with big-picture thinking. She has years of experience designing and managing community-led sustainability projects, building partnerships and working groups, and helping organisations turn good ideas into funded action. From zero-waste community initiatives to cross-cultural exchanges, her work always focuses on unlocking what’s possible — and then making it real.
When she’s not working, you'll usually find her walking in wild places, swapping ideas over coffee, or getting excited about the next innovative project.
